March 16, 2023: San Diego LEGION FLAG FEST

San Diego LEGION FLAG FEST

Sunday, APRIL 16, 2023

 10:30 a.m.

SNAPDRAGON STADIUM

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are excited to inform you that our school has joined San Diego Legion’s 501C3 Rookie Rugby program, which aims to introduce flag rugby and promote sportsmanship among students without incurring any cost to the school. As part of this program, we have received equipment and training to teach flag rugby in our PE classes.

In line with our commitment to providing opportunities for our students to learn new skills, we are delighted to invite all our students to participate in Flag Fest, a tournament-style event organized by San Diego Legion. Flag Fest involves placing students on teams according to their grade and challenging them to showcase their rugby skills by competing against other schools in a friendly competition.

We are thrilled to let you know that your child has the opportunity to participate in Flag Fest for FREE!

This is not a school-sponsored event. Families that are interested can individually sign their children up to attend/participate. Transportation will not be provided from CVESD.

Apart from meeting and interacting with players from San Diego Legion, all participants will receive a free ticket to an upcoming Legion game for themselves and a guardian. Additionally, the school with the most sign-ups will receive a prize, which includes a Legion Gift Basket worth over $400 that can be raffled off or gifted, an Elite Legion Train T-shirt for all participants, group tickets for any game of their choice, and an incredible opportunity for their class to run out on the field with the starting players for the national anthem.

If you are interested, register your child for this event and take advantage of this unique opportunity that San Diego Legion has provided. Your child will be able to build teamwork skills, learn new strategies, and develop a love for rugby.
