April 8, 2021: Important Information for Families

TMES Families,

Hybrid instruction starts on Monday, April 12, 2021. Today, you should have received placement information via school messenger. Students will be attending hybrid instruction or stay in distance learning. If your child is coming on campus for hybrid instruction, please review the map below with the appropriate arrival and departure zone. All families must enter the campus via San Lucas. MacKenzie Creek entrance will be closed for arrival. Families can come on campus starting tomorrow, April 9, 2021, from 1-3 p.m. to pick up their place card and health screening card. All families arriving on campus are expected to place their place card in the passenger right window. Please review the re-opening slide deck to reference the instructions. In addition, review the Parent/Student handbook. Next week, we will have a spirit week for all students. The information is at the bottom of this message.

What if I change my mind? At this time, changes to distance learning or hybrid will not be accommodated. No changes will be made during the first 10 days (April 12-April 23, 2021) of hybrid instruction and distance learning. After 10 days (April 23, 2021), a request for change must be completed and sent to the front office.

Materials Pick-Up New Hours: Starting Monday, April 12, 2021, materials distribution will have new hours. Monday-Thursday (9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. & 1 p.m. -2 p.m.) Friday (9 a.m. -11 a.m.)

Home Health Screening

Arrival:

  • All entry points are established per building for student arrival.

          Zone 1: TK, Kinder, and Room 604 & 702

          (All families must walk in with a mask, line up, and wait with their child until the health screening is complete.) No student in this zone can be unaccompanied. Families cannot drive up and drop off their child from this zone. This is a walk-up only zone. 

          Zone 1: (500 Building)         Students in 400 Building & 500 Building                      (Grades 3-6)

          Zone 2: (Flag Pole)                 Students in 200 Building & 300 Building                       (Grades 1-6)

          Zone 3: (Auditorium Gate)                    Students in Room 705                                           (Grades 4)

  • Temperature checks will be conducted by staff at each entry point/zone. Parents must certify that their child does not have symptoms by placing the card in their front window (Grades 1-6).
  • TK/Kinder/Students in rooms 702 and 604 must have an adult walk the student to the kinder gate.
  • Parents walking or driving to zone 1 500, Zone 2, or Zone 3, must wait for their child to be screened and admitted to school before leaving.
  • Students walking into campus must turn in the home health screening form Home Health Screening
  • After screening, students in grades 1-6 will walk on campus to their blacktop line-up number.

Dismissal:

  • Students in grades 1-6 will be dismissed to the designated zone by their building. Staff will call students out.
  • Students in grades TK, K, and SDC will wait in the kínder Playground for adult pick-up. Students will not be dismissed with siblings.
