COVID 19 Reminders For Families

Greetings TMES Families,

We encourage all families to review the CVESD COVID 19 NEWSLETTER – APR 22 2022 (English) The Newsletter was e-mailed directly from CVESD. If you have not received this e-mail, please check your spam, un-block messenger, or contact our school office with an updated e-mail address.

The below COVID expectations are for all schools in CVESD. We ask that all families review the CVESD COVID Reminders.

Masks are optional for staff and students. 

What are COVID symptoms?: If  a person (vaccinated or unvaccinated) has one or more symptoms associated with COVID-19
Possible symptoms include fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and/or diarrhea.

Symptomatic Staff and Students:
Symptomatic students may return to school with improving symptoms provided they get a negative test and the results are shown to school staff or administrators. The test taken to return to school or work can be one PCR test or two antigen tests taken 12 hours apart or any test taken 5 days after symptoms onset, for return day 6. Parent/guardian/ who do not want to test, may stay home for 10 days, and return on day 11. Staff are required to use lab tests perCal/OSHA and may not use a home test to return to work.

Group Tracing Guidance for Students: Exposed to a Positive Case on Campus
All students, except those who have been Covid-19 positive within 90 days, must test day 3, 4 or 5 after exposure to a positive case for 15+ minutes indoors or stay home for l O days, return on day 11.

When Negative Test(s) Must Be Provided:
• if testing out of isolation early (day 6- l OJ after testing positive for Covid-19
• if returning to school after having Covid-19 like symptoms
• if in a classroom/office with 3 or more positive cases within a 14-day period.
